The Blame Game

Adam started the blame game by blaming God and Eve for his sin. Eve blamed the serpent (Satan) for her sin. Many of their descendants blame Adam and Eve for their sin. Even the Bible points at Adam*s responsibility. We, their descendants would not have done any better than Adam and Eve if we had been the innocent ones in the garden of Eden.

Genesis 3:12: And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. 13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Romans 5:12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: 17 For if by one man*s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man*s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

None of Adam and Eve*s descendants will be able to blame anyone but themselves for their own sin, especially not for the sin of rejecting Jesus. When it comes to sinning or rejecting or receiving Jesus the blame game will not work. We are all individuals who reject Him or receive Him ourselves.

John 1:11: He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 1:19: Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Romans 14:12: So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
